Questions people actually ask

Are the candles scented?

No — and it's deliberate. Sculptural candles sit on dinner tables and cake tables, and the last thing a roast dinner needs is competition. If you'd like a lightly scented pour for a custom order, ask in the notes.

What are they made of?

A pearl-white soy blend we mix ourselves, with unbleached cotton wicks. No paraffin, no dyes in the classic ivory pieces.

How do I burn a sculptural candle without ruining it?

Put it on a small plate or tray — sculptural candles don't have a jar to catch the melt. Keep the wick trimmed to about 5 mm, keep it away from draughts, and never leave it unattended. Honestly though: about half our candles are never lit, and that's a perfectly good life for a candle.

How do orders and payment work?

Add to cart and place your order — no card needed on the site. We email you to confirm, then take bank transfer, or cash if you're picking up locally. Pickup is free; delivery is quoted based on where you are.

Can you make something custom for a christening or wedding?

Yes — that's most of what we do. Tell us the occasion, the date and roughly how many pieces in the order notes (or the email that follows), and we'll sort the rest. Please allow two weeks for bigger orders.

Do the white candles yellow over time?

Kept out of direct sun they stay pearl-white for years. On a sunny windowsill, soy will slowly warm in tone — a shelf or table spot is best.
